<h1 class="ql-align-center">India-France Space Security Dialogue (SSD)</h1> <h2>Context:</h2> <ul><li>India and France have agreed to start a bilateral space security dialogue.</li></ul> <h2>About:</h2> <ul><li>With Space Security Dialogue, both countries will arrive at a common multilateral understanding of the emerging space environment and the possible threats to safe, secure, sustainable, and continued access to outer space.</li></ul> <ul><li class="ql-align-justify">The dialogue brought together outer space-related ministries and agencies in two countries and provided an opportunity to exchange information on the space policy of each country.</li></ul> <ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Dialogue's aim is to hold discussions on space security, bilateral cooperation in space industries, global navigation satellite systems, space situational awareness (SSA), space-related norms, and other areas of mutual interest.</li></ul> <ul><li>The bilateral space security dialogue will be the third for India. Earlier, India has had such arrangements with two countries United States (2015) and Japan (2019)</li></ul> <ul><li>For France, India will be the first Asian country with which it will have such a dialogue</li></ul> <ul><li>The India-France space security dialogue is also an indication of India’s changing space orientation</li></ul>
