<h1 class="ql-align-center">Gorkhaland Territorial Administration(GTA)&nbsp;</h1> <h2>Context:</h2> <ul><li>The Union Home Ministry started tripartite talks with “Gorkha representatives” from Darjeeling Hills, Terrai &amp; Dooars region as well as the Government of West Bengal.</li></ul> <h2>Gorkhaland Territorial Administration(GTA):</h2> <ul><li>It is an Autonomous District Council for the Darjeeling and Kalimpong areas of the West Bengal state in India.</li></ul> <ul><li>It was formed as a result of the tripartite agreement between the West Bengal government, the Centre, and the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) in 2011.</li></ul> <ul><li>GTA presently consists of three hill subdivisions Darjeeling, Kurseong, Mirik, some areas of Siliguri subdivision of Darjeeling district, and the whole of Kalimpong district under its authority&nbsp;</li></ul>
